The most commonly asked question

What is the difference between a Semi Automatic and an Automatic machine

The Automatic on the left has 3 pads for brewing choices,(from left to right) single shot, double shot or 2 singles at once and continuous brewing. The single and double pads are programmable to suit your needs and easily changed by the asterisk pad. The asterisk pad also allows you to start and stop the brewing manually.

The semi automatic on the right of the above picture has one button for brewing. You press the button in and it stays in to activate the brewing and when you have reached the extraction you prefer you press the button again to release it and the brewing stops instantly.

Below is a semi and it is a lever brew group , you activate the brewing buy lifting a small lever attached to the brew group head on the right . It clicks on a microswitch that turns on the pump and when you have reached your desired amount of espresso you move the lever back down
